Summer House Season 7: A Full Review and Analysis.

Summer House season 7 certainly lived up to its hype, with scandals, tears, and drama galore. The show, which is a spin-off of Bravo’s hit reality TV show, The Real Housewives of New York City, features a group of friends who spend their summers in a luxurious beach house in Montauk, New York.

In the seventh season, there were some familiar faces, including Kyle Cooke, Amanda Batula, Lindsay Hubbard, Hannah Berner, Paige DeSorbo, and Carl Radke. However, two new cast members, Ciara Miller and Luke Gulbranson, shook things up and brought a fresh perspective to the show.

One of the key storylines of the season was the on-again-off-again relationship between Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula. Cooke proposed to Batula at the end of season 6, but they spent most of season 7 battling relationship hurdles, including Cooke’s immaturity and Batula’s insecurities. Despite their troubles, they eventually made up and set a wedding date, much to the joy of fans.

Another standout storyline was Carl Radke’s struggle to stay sober. In previous seasons, Radke has been known for his partying ways, but in season 7, he worked hard to maintain his sobriety, attending AA meetings and staying away from alcohol. This gave viewers a deeper insight into the struggles of addiction and the journey towards recovery.

Luke Gulbranson’s arrival also brought some drama. He had previously hooked up with Hannah Berner, but when he showed interest in pursuing a relationship with Ciara Miller, Berner found herself jealous and confused about her own feelings. This led to some tense moments between the three of them throughout the season.

Paige DeSorbo’s love life was another focus of the season. She met a successful businessman named Perry, and the two started dating. However, as the summer went on, it became clear that Perry wasn’t as invested in the relationship as DeSorbo was, leading to heartbreak for her.

Lindsay Hubbard found herself somewhat on the sidelines during season 7, with most of the drama focusing on other cast members. However, she did find herself in a bit of trouble when she got into a physical altercation with Paige DeSorbo’s friend, Danielle Olivera.

Overall, season 7 was a rollercoaster ride of emotions, with plenty of love, heartbreak, and arguments along the way. However, it also provided viewers with a deeper understanding of the struggles that come with addiction, and the importance of supporting loved ones in their recovery.

One of the strengths of Summer House is its ability to balance drama and comedy. While there were some intense moments in season 7, there were also plenty of lighthearted and humorous scenes. From Kyle’s various business ventures to Paige’s hilarious one-liners, the show never takes itself too seriously.

The addition of Ciara Miller and Luke Gulbranson also helped to keep things fresh. Miller brought a strong, independent energy to the group, while Gulbranson’s laid-back charm made him a fan favorite. Both of them seamlessly integrated into the group, and their different perspectives added a new layer to the show.

Another standout feature of the season was the setting. Montauk is a beautiful location, and the show takes full advantage of its beachfront setting. From pool parties to bonfires on the beach, each episode is filled with stunning scenery that makes viewers wish they were there.

One of the criticisms of Summer House has been its lack of diversity, with a predominantly white cast. While season 7 did not change this, the show did make efforts to address this issue. During the season, the cast discussed issues of race and privilege, and the show even brought in a diversity coach to help them better understand these issues. While there is still room for improvement, it’s nice to see the show making strides in this area.

In conclusion, Summer House season 7 was a wild ride that left fans eagerly anticipating the next season. With engaging storylines, well-developed characters, and beautiful scenery, it’s no wonder the show has become such a cult favorite. While there were some flaws, overall, the show delivered on its promise of providing viewers with an entertaining and engaging summer escape.
